How it all started
The inception of CS Advice stemmed from the recognition that running a business solo can be isolating. Whether steering a small business, gearing up for a start-up, or just starting out, there are moments when having someone to converse with and bounce ideas off of is invaluable. CS Advice is here to fill that role for you.
My story
Having graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh, I ventured into the accounts sector, eventually finding my stride in the start-up scene. In 2017, armed with problem-solving, cashflow, and finance management skills, I founded Dream Drivers, a platform that connects delivery drivers to restaurants and takeaways. Over the years, it has flourished, expanding across Scotland and into other sectors, unlocking additional revenue streams and providing invaluable insights into business growth and scaling.
In 2023, my efforts were recognized with the honor of being named Young Business Person of the Year. Additionally, I received high commendation as Director of the Year at the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Awards. To cap off the year, Dream Drivers was acknowledged as the Delivery Innovation of the Year at the Restaurant & Takeaway Innovation Expo in London at the ExCeL.
My journey has been filled with challenges, from opening a funding round in 2021, disrupted by Covid, to ultimately refusing funding in 2023 to scale operations independently with the team I’ve built. The goal now is to continue growth into England and beyond. It’s been a long, often lonely road, filled with highs and lows. My hope is to be someone you can share these moments with so you don’t have to navigate the journey alone, as I have.
